SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building. Proposed propulsor comprises caterpillar chain link, plate with link rail, and three grousers. Plate support surface is provided with shaped recesses with stiffness ribs. Propulsor links are made from composite materials. Link rail head outer side is provided with the primary round hilled metal grousers arranged on platform outer side. Passive lock is made up of grouser edge and link rail limiting boss that makes secondary grouser. Central section of link rail has vertical through bores of vehicle drive sprocket and through connecting bores with polyurethane sleeves. Support roller guides are secured on link rail inner side. Horizontal inner temporary slots are made in link rail platform side surface to receive caterpillar chain spacers.

EFFECT: higher cross country capacity of rovers.
