FIELD: application of inhibiting coats on rocket solid propellant charges for avoidance of burning . SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes layer-by-layer application of inhibiting compound in gas between revolving solid propellant charge and unit made in form of wiping blade mounted immovably in parallel relative to it. Gap between revolving charge and wiping blade is increased after application of each layer till coat of required thickness has been obtained; compacting the compound surface is effected at rotational speed of charge of 90-110 r/min continued for 4-12 min. Proposed method makes it possible to attain adhesive strength of inhibiting compound of 1.20-1.51 kN/m, to avoid forming of pores in longitudinal and transversal directions and to exclude removal of previous layer before application of subsequent layer.
