MECHANISM FOR TWO-SIDED DELIVERY OF AMMUNITION OF ARTILLERY MOUNT Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2223457 C1

FIELD: armaments, in particular, mechanisms for delivery of ammunition for large caliber systems of a high-rate of fire. SUBSTANCE: the mechanism has a shell store located on one side of the artillery mount, in which two mechanized shell stacks are located at the same level in parallel with a separating partition with two shell delivery windows, made in the form of closed conveyers with drives for their movement consisting of separate cells, with at least one shell placed in each of them. Provision is also made for two reloaders engageable with the shell store, each of them has at least one clots located in the initial position behind the row of shells positioned in the mentioned cells. Besides, provision made for a charge store located on the other side of the artillery mount and consisting of two mechanized charge stacks located at the same level in parallel with a separating partition, having two windows for delivery of modules of the alternate propellant charge, each mechanized charge stack has at least two closed conveyers located in parallel with each other, each closed conveyer consists of separate cells, with one module of the alternate charge located in each of them, one cell of each closed conveyer is left empty. Provision is made for two reloader of the modules of the alternate charge from the respective mechanized charge stacks. Besides, provision is made for a shell pendulum reloader installed on the first journal, coaxial with the journals of the artillery mount, on the same side of the artillery mount as the shell store, and kinematically linked with the drive of its motion. Provision is also made for a charge pendulum reloader installed on the second journal, coaxial with the journals of the artillery mount, on the other side of the artillery mount, in the same place as the charge store, and kinematically linked with the drive for its motion. EFFECT: enhanced rate of fire of the artillery mount, and reliability of its operation. 3 cl, 16 dwg
