FIELD: control over quality indices of electric energy, distortion power meters. SUBSTANCE: method measuring power of distortion in A C single-phase network consists in measurement of momentary values of current and voltage, in multiplication of these values, in isolation of variable component of this product and in integration of obtained variable component beginning from moment of transition of voltage through zero and in the course of intervals equal to 1/4 period of input signals. Gross reactive power is found by formula , where QI,QII,QIII,QIV are results of integration in first, second, third and fourth time interval of 1/4 period of supply voltage. At same time shift power is determined as area of volt-ampere characteristic described by momentary values of current and voltage and power of distortion is established by formula Qd = Qrp-Qsp, where Qd is power of distortion; Qrp is gross reactive power; Qsp is shift power.
