FIELD: railway transport; mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to air conditioning devices for use in vehicles, including railway cars and restaurant cars. Proposed device is made in form of self-contained unit located in under-roof space of railway car. It contains sealed heat-insulated housing divided by partition into two compartments, one accommodating axial-flow fan, cooling compressor and air condensers, and other compartment accommodates suction fan, outside air valves, electric and water heaters, air coolers and air filters. Novelty is that device is furnished additionally with recuperative heat exchanger installed between air filter and air cooler to form bypass channel for processed air. Controllable air valve is installed in bypass channel. Exhaust fan is introduced into to evacuate air passing through channels of said recuperative heat exchanger from restaurant car. Suction and exhaust fans are provided with thyratron electric motors operated from dc current source. Air filter is installed before recuperative heat exchanger in direction of air flow evacuated from restaurant car. EFFECT: improved energy saving characteristics of air conditioner, possibility of stepless regulation of air outlet parameters. 3 cl, 2 dwg
