FIELD: polymer materials. SUBSTANCE: composition suitable for manufacturing polyolefin foams that may be used as heat-insulating and damping materials, for orthopedics, and in manufacture of floating facilities contains polyolefin, organic peroxide, zinc oxide/zinc stearate mixture, organosilicon liquid, and calcium carbonate fraction 14-40 mcm. Using filler with specified particle size provides uniform distribution of filler throughout the bulk in polymer melt avoiding appearance of agglomerates and great nucleation sites. EFFECT: improved physico-mechanical characteristics of homogenous microcellular-structure foam such as reduced apparent density, increased relative rupture elongation, and reduced consumption of gasforming agent. 1 tbl, 12 ex
