FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed fuel nozzle of internal combustion engine contains sealing device placed between two spaces at different pressures, hollow housing carrying nozzle and metering valve for opening the nozzle. Metering valve has body enclosed inside seat of hollow housing. Bead formed on seat of valve body separates cylindrical surface from cylindrical surface of part of seat smaller in diameter than surface. Other bead formed on value body separates cylindrical surface from other part of valve body. Sealing device contains ring-shaped seal compressed between beads in direction parallel to axis of two said cylindrical surfaces. Ring-shaped seal made of elastomer material is practically round in section. Valve body is connected with hollow housing for flexible deformation of said section of ring-shaped seal to deform it and bring into sealing contact both with beads and with surface of seat in hollow housing and surfaced of part of valve body, thus providing excellent sealing action both relative to seat and valve body.
