FIELD: nondestructive tests of materials by ultrasonic scanning. SUBSTANCE: ultrasonic flaw detector has voltage source, generator of excitation pulses, receiving-emitting ultrasonic converter, control circuit, receiving-amplifying path and data processing unit properly interconnected. Generator of excitation pulses includes capacitor, electronic controlled key and current conducting module. Flaw detector can be manufactured in three structural variants. EFFECT: increased effectiveness in detection of flaws in material of diagnosed structure under conditions of limited space for arrangement of diagnosing equipment. 8 cl, 9 dwg
