FIELD: light- sensitive materials. SUBSTANCE: emulsion is designed for manufacture of a variety of types of materials: amateur and professional cinefilms and photographic films, X-ray, phototechnical, and aerial films. Manufacture of emulsion includes following steps: emulsifying, physical ripening, solid phase separation, washing, dispersing in water, redispersing in presence of gelatin or gelatin/acrylate latex composition with 40-80 g of gelatin and 30-190 g of acrylate latex per 1 kg emulsion, and chemical sensitization. It is desirable using, as acrylate latex, methacrylic acid/ethyl acrylate latex or butyl acrylate/styrene/methacrylic acid terpolymer latex. EFFECT: increased resolution capacity and treatment velocity, and improved physicochemical characteristics facilitating productivity of process. 2 cl, 1 tbl, 24 ex _
