FIELD: electrical energy generation using ionized gases for the purpose. SUBSTANCE: known operating process of electrohydrodynamic generator includes production of plasma flow obtained by corona discharge, separation of electrons from the latter by means of electric field, and their accumulation across negative electrode of electrohydrodynamic generator. Separated electron flow through power consumer is set up, these electrons neutralize positively charged plasma particles across positive electrode of electrohydrodynamic generator. Proposed method is characterized in that fuel is burned in combustion chamber to produce plasma flow, combustion products being obtained in the from of isothermal high-pressure plasma, and potential energy of isothermal plasma is converted in converging-diverging nozzle into kinetic energy of plasma flow ; free electrons are separated from plasma by inducing electric field in the latter with aid of electromagnet. EFFECT: facilitated maintenance of corona discharge at high speeds and pressures of gas. 1 cl, 2 dwg
