FIELD: communications engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed method and device are used to transmit and receive bit stream so that video data bit stream is steadily transferred due to effective use of two logic channels when communication is established by means of logic channels in the course of transmission of video data bit stream in communication network. Method includes source coding to produce bit stream using predetermined type of coding. Then encoded bit stream is transferred to each communication protocol layer, header of each communication protocol layer being added to useful load. Header is transferred separately from bit stream.
