FIELD: thermic deaeration of water, possibly in boiler aggregates. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of deaerating water in vacuum deaerator by feeding to deaerator initial water and heating agent; sustaining predetermined concentration of dissolved oxygen in deaerated water by successively controlling temperature of initial water and flowrate of heating agent; when oxygen concentration exceeds predetermined value at first increasing temperature of initial water and then, if necessary increasing flowrate of heating agent; when oxygen concentration becomes lower than predetermined value at first decreasing flowrate of heating agent and then lowering temperature of initial water.
