FIELD: medicine, gastroenterology. SUBSTANCE: the suggested method deals with quantitative detecting concentrations of pepsinogen I and gastrin-17 in serum sample, comparing concentrations of pepsinogen I and gastrin-17 against standard value being specific for this method and against cut-off value, moreover, concentration of pepsinogen I and gastrin-17 in serum being higher against the upper limits of corresponding standard value indicates the increased risk in developing duodenal ulcer, and serumal concentration of pepsinogen I being higher the upper limits against its standard value in combination with concentration of gastrin-17 either within standard limits or below its cut-off value indicates the increased risk in developing gastric ulcer in the person mentioned. New noninvasive method has been elaborated that enables to detect localization of peptic ulcer in case of the risk of its development.
