FIELD: electrochemical and electrophysical working, possibly electrochemical marking of electrically conducting materials, particularly on curvilinear surfaces. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes technological electric current source; tool-electrode; programming device. The last is designed for supplying individual electric signals corresponding to configuration of marked symbols. Tool-electrode is in the form of grating made of insulated electrically conducting members forming horizontal and vertical rows according to contour of marked symbols. Tool-electrode is elastic; it is made of members of electrically conducting rubber placed in dielectric rubber matrix. Matrix has different elasticity degree along its height. EFFECT: increased automatization degree of process for marking non-flat surfaces, enhanced versatility, enlarged functional possibilities of apparatus. 4 dwg
