FIELD: mechanics, electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for electrochemical marking of current-conducting surfaces with matrix symbols, preferably of the Data Matrix-type. The proposed electrode-tool has a working surface made up of isolated sections of the conductors end faces arranged as a raster grating. Note here that an additional dielectric layer is arranged between the aforesaid sections, while the number and arrangement of the electrode-tool sections complies with the arrangement of matrix symbols arrangement.
EFFECT: increased electrode gap between the electrode-tool surface and part to be electrochemically marked.
