FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for preparing 4H-thiopyranes that can be used as materials for electronic optics, semi-products of organic synthesis, medicinal preparations and others. Substituted 4H- thiopyranes of the general formula (I) wherein R means hydrogen atom, chlorine atom, OCH3 are prepared by interaction of 1,5-diketones with hydrogen sulfide forming from zinc sulfide in methanol medium, in the presence of phosphorous acid esters that are formed in reaction medium directly in addition phosphorus trichloride to medium. Invention provides preparing 4H-thiopyranes by method without using gaseous hydrogen sulfide and hydrogen chloride, without additional stage of purification.
