FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for obtaining salts of 4H-selenopyrilium. The method involves the interaction of 1,5-diphenyl-3-(p-methoxyphenyl)-pentanedione-1,5 (1,5-diketone) with hydrogen selenium during electrolysis in a three-electrode cell using a selenium-containing cathode. Selenium electrodes are used as the cathode material. Electrochemical synthesis is carried out through the stage of cathodic dissolution of selenium, followed by the interaction of adsorbed selenium ions with hydrogen ions and 1.5-diketone molecules in an amount of 0.05-5.00 g in the adsorption layer, electrolysis is carried out in a non-aqueous electrolyte for 2.5-13 hours at a current density of 1-66 mA/cm2 and a voltage of 10-40 mV until the initial 1.5- diketone completely disappears based on the analysis of mass spectra, and the process is controlled by the current density and potential of the electrode.
EFFECT: proposed method makes it possible to obtain pure substances with high yields, control the composition of reaction products at each stage by the magnitude of the potential and current density, and also avoid the use of hydrogen selenium gas, which increases the environmental safety of the process.
