FIELD: petroleum processing and petrochemistry. SUBSTANCE: gasoline additive for use in internal combustion engines contains 10-20% monomethylalanine, 0.05-0.15% ferrocene and/or (α- hydroxyisopropyl)ferrocene, 0.05-0.15% product of condensation of polyamine , where n varies from 1 to 4, with C7-C20-carboxylic acids, 0.01-1% higher carboxylic acid quaternary ammonium salts and polyethylene(or propylene)polyamines with 2 to 8 amino groups and/or their mixture, the rest being ethyl alcohol with stabilizer. EFFECT: increased antiknock efficiency at concentration of additive up to 8% and preserved good protective and detergent properties. 2 cl, 1 tbl
