FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the improved method for preparing lower aliphatic esters. Method involves interaction of lower olefin with saturated lower aliphatic monocarboxylic acid, preferably, in the presence of water in vapor phase in the presence of heteropolyacid catalyst. Reaction is carried out in some sequentially disposed reactors or in a single long reactor with some sequential layers of heteropolyacid catalyst. The parent reagents are purified practically from impurities or metal compounds by so manner that before contact with heteropolyacid catalyst the content of metals and/or metal compounds is 0.1 ppm, not above. Method provides removing different impurities polluting the heteropolyacid catalyst and causing its inactivation that allows to prolong a working life of catalyst.
