FIELD: multilayer cord cable for reinforcement of articles. SUBSTANCE: cable has core of diameter d0 embraced by intermediate layer C1, which is formed from five wires having diameter d1 and being spirally wound in conjunction with one another at pitch p1. Layer C1 is enclosed in outer layer C2 formed from N wires having diameter d2 and spirally wound in conjunction with one another at pitch p2. Number N per value of from 1 to 3 units is less than maximal number Nmax of wires, which may be wound in single layer around layer C1. Cord cable has the following characteristics, mm: 0.08<d0<0.28, 0.15<d1<0.28, 0.12<d2<025, for M=4; 0.40<(d0/d1)<0.80 for M=5; 0.70<(d0/d1)<1.10, where M is number of wires in layer wound onto core, 4,8π(d0+d1)<p1<p2<5,6π(d0+2d1+d2), with wires of layers C1 and C2 being wound in the same twisting direction. EFFECT: improved quality and increased wear-resistance of cable. 26 cl, 3 dwg, 9 tbl
