Additional vacant areas are distributed for eliminating interruption in error correction unit residing in user s data area at boundary between zones and for its distribution between two zones. Such distribution can be effected by skipping sectors at end of zone in case their quantity is smaller than that required to generate error correction code including correction of initial position of error correction code unit at boundary between zones.
