PLANT TO TREAT LOOSE PRODUCTS WITH ULTRAVIOLET RADIATION Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: UV radiation disinfection of products used in food, microbiological and pharmaceutical industries. SUBSTANCE: plant to treat loose products with UV radiation has loading and unloading units, working tool and UV lamps. Lamps are encapsulated in jackets transparent for UV radiation and are positioned inside working tool. UV lamps are arranged in parallel one another in horizontal and vertical rows. Intervals between UV lamps in horizontal rows are equal and in vertical rows decrease in sequence. Each next interval in zone of acceleration of particles of product is half as large as preceding one and is equal to diameter of jacket of UV lamp in zone of limit speed of particles. Plant is fitted with fixture cleaning lamp jackets and sensor of intensity of UV radiation. Loading unit can be connected to closed unloading pipe-line.
