FIELD: systems for treating liquid by means of UV-irradiation, namely for controlling parameters of processes of sterilizing and disinfecting liquids. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes two similar photodetectors receiving irradiation with wave length 254 nm, oriented to the same irradiation source and spaced by different distance from said source. Photodetectors are electrically connected with unit for power supply and signal processing and they are arranged inside cylindrical casing made of material transmitting UV-irradiation. Diameter of one part of said casing is different from its main diameter. Photodetectors are arranged in casing parts having different diameters. Apparatus provides enhanced reliability and information content at controlling parameters of water disinfection process with use of UV-irradiation.
