APPARATUS FOR UNCOILING AND COILING METALLIC ARTICLES Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: plastic metal working, namely apparatuses for uncoiling and coiling metallic articles, possibly in aggregates for bending shapes, electrically welding tubes, in systems for slitting strip and rolling small bars. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for uncoiling and coiling metallic articles has removable coiling-uncoiling drum with housing having inner sliding surface. Inside housing of drum slide with wedge faces having row of radial openings is arranged; in said openings are arranged with possibility of axial motion: clamping shoes, cleats, springs and pushers engaging by their wedge surfaces with wedge faces of slide. Lid is mounted on free end of frame. Manually controlled shoe brake engaging with braking block mounted on free end of hollow shaft is supported by means of said lid. Rotation drive in the form of reduction gear with electric drive unit or in the form of hydraulic motor is mounted on free end of framework. Free end of hollow shaft is in the form of gear wheel engaged with pinion of reduction gear or hydraulic motor. In inner opening of framework hollow body is placed with possibility of motion by means of hydraulic cylinder. Said hollow body is designed for mounting in bearing assemblies of hollow shaft. Rotation drive unit is mounted on end of hollow body. Apparatus is provided with loading- unloading unit; framework has two coaxially arranged parts with inner openings in which hollow bodies are mounted with possibility of motion by means of hydraulic cylinders. Said bodies are designed for mounting in rolling bearing assemblies of hollow shaft. Framework has T-shaped foundation for placing loading-unloading unit. The last is in the form of frame mounted on T-shaped foundation with possibility of motion along vertical line by means of hydraulic cylinder and having inner lateral guides on which carriage may move. Coilinguncoiling drum has two rows of pushers; slide has two wedge faces; clamping shoes are detachable and common ones. Two adjacent clamping shoes are kinematically joined one with another through connecting links and shaft by means of single-arm clamping levers. Apparatus is also provided with lateral jaws having pressure roller; said jaws are mounted on coaxially arranged parts of framework turned one to another and having inner openings. Members of cam coupling are provided on free ends of housing of coiling-uncoiling drums. EFFECT: minimum size, lowered material consumption and costs for making and maintaining apparatus, possibility of uncoiling and coiling narrow and wide different-mass coils of metallic articles, simultaneously coiling-uncoiling several narrow articles, uncoiling and coiling at lateral or axial guiding or discharging of coils. 9 cl, 14 dwg
