FIELD: transport engineering; wheels. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of wheels featuring higher elasticity. Proposed wheel consists of separately made hub and rim interconnected by flexible members made in form of constant radius arcs and rectangular cross section of reinforced polymeric material. Limiting disks made of thin metal with wear-resistant polymeric coating are made to limit side displacement of rim relative to hub. Middle part of flat limiting disks is spherical to provide increased rigidity of structure. Limiting disks are installed on hub and are provided with arc-shaped radial cutouts to increase vertical travel of hub relative to wheel rim when vehicle moves on rough terrain and to reduce mass. Stud-pins, projections and flanges of limiting disks preclude axial and radial displacements of rim, disk and low-pressure pneumatic tire relative to each other. Ends of flexible members are hinge-secured by means of bolts-pins on disks of hub and by studs-pins on disks of rim. EFFECT: provision of smooth running of vehicle owing to decrease of mass of wheel propulsion unit and increase of maximum radial displacement of hub relative to rim. 2 dwg
