FIELD: waste water treatment. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of treating formaldehyde-containing waste waters and can be used at woodworking industry enterprises. To waste formaldehyde-containing water at pH 1.5-2.0 is added urea at its molar ratio to formaldehyde 1.0:(1.3-1.5), mixture is aged for 3.5-4.5 h, resulting resin is separated by filtration, and filtrate is passed through acid porous sorbent at velocity 0.5-1.0 cu. m/h.
