FIELD: ice formation, reconstruction of destroyed crossings. SUBSTANCE: manner of formation of ice crossings provides for use of icebreaker with subsequent freezing of destroyed part of crossing. Salient feature of invention consists in brining carrying vessels to rest in shipway at some distance from ice crossing when ice thickness exceeds 0.5 m, in their rounding by backward motion of icebreaker that cuts out part of ice cover forming slot along which icebreaker returns to initial position. Cutout part of ice field icebreaker brings into shipway with compaction to complete freezing. EFFECT: accelerated reconstruction of destroyed ice crossing and its carrying capacity. 1 dwg
