FIELD: power electronics; secondary power supplies. SUBSTANCE: proposed ac-to-dc voltage converter has single- phase bridge rectifier assembled of on/off switches and diodes, current-limiting reactor on ac end, and ripple capacitor on dc end. In order to extend output voltage regulation range diodes are inserted in two arms of single-phase rectifier that form first ac terminal and symmetrical on/off switches are inserted in opposite arms forming second ac terminal; switches have common control input; one switch functions as closing switch and other one, as opening switch. EFFECT: enlarged output voltage regulation range. 1 cl, 2 dwg
