FIELD: presses with flat working surfaces; restoration of documents on paper. SUBSTANCE: proposed press includes upper and lower pressing plates and bed frame with guides for pressing plates for performing vertical motion. Press is provided with screw mechanism for drawing together upper and lower plates; this mechanism includes motion pressure screw and nut fitted in bed frame, as well as unit for drawing the plates together. Screw is engageable with upper plate in vertical direction by means of double-thrust anti-friction bearing. Units of engagement of upper plate with guides and unit of connection with pressure screw are movable in construction; units of engagement of lower plate with guides and unit of connection device bringing it to upper plate are also movable; their motion is characterized by wobbling of normal relative to working surface of each of plates in any vertical plane. EFFECT: avoidance of residual deformation; reduced mass and overall dimensions. 6 cl, 8 dwg
