FIELD: railway transport; rail vehicles. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of brakes. Proposed two-axle freight vehicle contains two side frames, overspring beam intercoupled with body, two wheelsets with axle boxes and brake equipment with brake cylinder, vertical levers and horizontal tie-rods. Radial splines made on inner end face surfaces of wheel rims engage through air gap with mating ones made of magnetic materials. The latter are located on compression spring-loaded movable disks. Disks are installed on pins secured on brackets located on side frames of bogie and they interact through forks with retainers rigidly coupled with vertical levers of brake leverage. Retainers have conical surfaces and plane-parallel mating surfaces. EFFECT: improved efficiency of braking of freight train cars. 3 dwg
