FIELD: method and device for product packing into connected bags formed of foil and fed as continuous web through filling station. SUBSTANCE: method of product packing includes opening mouth of bag connected to continuous web of bags; filling bag with product, sealing bag mouth, cutting sealed bag from residual web. Device has bearing rods, tubes or gripping chains for supporting free edges of bag mouth or web during movement thereof. Bearing rods, tubes or gripping chains move apart one from another near filling station for bag mouth opening. Device feeds flat web of connected bags so that upper bag edges are folded around opposite bearing chains. Bag edges have orifices or star-like perforations which move downwards due to bag edges bending and are brought into engagement with retaining pins. Retaining pins are vertically displaced from bearing chains. EFFECT: increased reliability of bag gripping without bag edges profiling, simplified structure of bearing chains. 5 cl, 3 dwg
