FIELD: layer examination technology. SUBSTANCE: method includes lowering of layer testing device into well shaft, nozzle is extended through the layer of argillaceous crust for forming a compaction between said argillaceous layer and compacting surface of nozzle. Nozzle penetrates into the layer and nozzle end is influenced by layer pressure. Nozzle end is unblocked to make a channel in the nozzle subject to layer pressure influence. Layer pressure is transferred through the nozzle to pressure sensor. Data about layer pressure may be transferred onto earth surface. Testing device may be included into boring column. Depending on the layer pressure density of boring solution may by adjusted. During extension of nozzle or before it, drawing in of layer testing device in direction towards well shaft wall on the side of nozzle may be performed. Nozzle end may have plurality of through pores, diameter of which is less than size of particles of argillaceous crust. Nozzle end may be made with possible displacement between extended and retracted positions for limiting inlet to the channel.
