FIELD: building materials industry; manufacture of porous ceramic items. SUBSTANCE: furnace has lined circular rotary hearth with drive, heating system, charging section, discharging section, and annular rotary cooler. Furnace is mounted inside rotary cooler in planetary manner so that their approach takes place in discharging section; rotary hearth carries lattice-like roasting molds fixed in position relative to the latter, clearance being provided between adjacent molds to admit coolant to hearth bottom channel formed by hearth and latticed base of mold. Molds have side openings in hearth channel to pass hot gases to gas conduit. Vibration floor is provided in front of discharging section to level upper swollen surface of items; discharging section proper is disposed at point of approach of hearth and cooler and has radial ejector.
