FIELD: building materials industry. SUBSTANCE: described is manufacture of products of porous structure for guarding building structures. Crude semiproducts in the form of pipes of 30 to 70 mm in diameter and 10 to 30 mm in wall thickness are molded from swelling clay rocks with additive of crushed anthracite. Pipes are placed in rows into mold from nonswelling clay with wall thickness of 20 to 40 mm. Stream of heat transfer agent is directed along passages, and semiproducts are heated to 500-600 C at rate of 10-20 deg/min, heating operation is then continued to 110-1250 C at rate of 150-170 deg/min. Crude semiproduct is kept at maximum temperature till swelling occurs. Fired product is rapidly cooled to 6000 C, and subsequent cooling is carried out at rate of 50 deg/min. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method. 2 dwg, 2 ex
