FIELD: ammunition, in particular, cartridge cases for propellant charges, widely applicable for manufacture of artillery shots both of separate cartridge case and fixed round loading of various types. SUBSTANCE: the cartridge case for propellant charge has a body, bottom conjugate to the body in radius, nipple, seat as a means of ignition and a flange. The diameter of the nipple base is made equal to 0.18 to 0.63 of the maximum outside diameter of the cartridge case body, and the radius of conjugation of the bottom to the body is made equal to 0.03 to 0.25 of the maximum outside diameter of the body. The claim makes it possible to produce a cartridge case operating at a pressure of more than 300 Mpa, having a sealed seat-means of ignition joint at the maximum pressure of powder gases in the gun chamber, with provision of the necessary strength of the body at a shot, reliable extraction of the cartridge case by the gun semi-automatic equipment.
