FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: in accordance with invention at least one flow tube is given vibration with inherent frequency corresponding to density of material passing through flow tube on basis of signal from drive while Coriolis flowmeter is used as vibration densimeter. Amplification of signal of drive is controlled to establish whether multiphase flow containing gas and liquid is present in it. If gas damping of vibrations of flow tube caused by passing bubble of gas is detected then density of material is found on basis of stored values generated in process of retrospective measurements corresponding to period of lack of multiphase flow. EFFECT: enhanced measurement accuracy if two-phase flows are used. 19 cl, 8 dwg
