FIELD: storage of disk information media including compact-disks. SUBSTANCE: device has flat rectangular box with cavity for disk disposal. Guide members hold disk in a spaced relation to box surfaces. Ejecting mechanism provided with leverage is easy to access from outside at corner section of box. Ejector grips disk outer surface. In first position of ejector disk is held in storage position, in second position disk acquires extraction position when its middle part that does not carry information occurs beyond entrance slit and is accessible for its gripping by hand. Box is provided with set of braking and guiding strips adjacent to longitudinal opening. Clearance between strips in central section of longitudinal opening is greater than thickness of disk being entered and clearance at ends of longitudinal opening is smaller than thickness of disk being entered. Set of strips performing disk braking and guiding functions provides for easy extraction of disk avoiding contact with information carrying section at the same time retaining desired clearance. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and facilitated extraction of disk without injury to its recorded information. 13 cl, 8 dwg
