FIELD: dust removal by means of vacuum cleaner in rooms, from electronic devices and industrial equipment. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of acting upon dust stuck to surface of cleaned object in suction zone by means of pulses of directed flows of compressed air; tearing off dust particles by means of compressed air stream from cleaned surface; mixing them with air; creating suction directed air flow attracting dust particles; directing such air flow to filter of vacuum cleaner; at cleaning process modifying characteristics of compressed air pulses and contour of streams due to changing frequency of compressed air pulses, their duty ratio, speed value of compressed air flow and pressure of compressed air according to condition of maximum activation of dust without damaging members of cleaned surface; during pause between said pulses completely evacuating activated suspended dust particles. Vacuum cleaner includes inlet and outlet branch pipes; arranged in housing: dust accumulator, filter, air suction unit, apparatus for directing compressed air flow to cleaning zone having nozzle and control unit connected with said apparatus and designed for changing direction and contour of stream, frequency of compressed air pulses, their duty ratio, speed value of compressed air flow and air pressure according to condition of maximum activation of dust without damaging members of cleaned surface. Inlet branch pipe is connected with suction hose for providing full evacuation of activated suspended dust particles at pause between pulses.
