DEVICE MEASURING DIAMETERS OF DEEP HOLES Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: device measuring diameters of deep holes has case housing rod mounted in it for axial movement, first and second bushings and reading unit. One bushing is immobile and houses rod traveling in it, double link levers are hinged to second bushing. Device is also provided with three measurement segments. Each segment forms parallelogram jointly with double-link levers positioned in grooves of case. Device includes double-link lever meter and averaging mechanism located inside case. Lever meter has ratio 1:2 of arms in each lever in direction from measuring element to reading unit and averaging mechanism includes bars contacting double-link lever meter. Number of bars equals number of measurement segments. Self-adjusting pressure disk of device interacts with bars and rod. Bushing anchored in case has handle-lock interacting with use of flexible coupler with second bushing, reading unit is installed in moisture-proof, shock-proof enclosure. Separable measuring elements are meant for various diameters of holes, length of each measuring element is equal to diameter of measured hole as minimum.
