FIELD: liquid-metal cooling systems of nuclear and thermonuclear power plants primarily for space engineering. SUBSTANCE: expansion compensator has assembly for connection to coolant loop and pressurized housing with gas space and gas-coolant separator made in the form of capillary structure hydraulically joined with assembly for connecting to coolant loop and to gas space that accommodates filtering structure disposed in at least part of zone occupied by gas-coolant separator at inner wall of housing; this filtering structure is hydraulically connected to capillary structure of gas-coolant separator. EFFECT: enhanced operating reliability of coolant loop and power plant as a whole even under overload and vibration conditions. 1 cl, 1 dwg
