FIELD: space.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to space propulsion plants of megawatt class. Dual-mode nuclear power plant (NPP) of transport and power module (TEM) comprises thermal emission reactor-converter (TRP). Core is assembled from generating assemblies (EGS) of series-connected power generating elements (EGE). Core is assembled from N design-identical EGS, where N ≥ 19, consisting of n series-connected EGE, where n ≥ 5. All EGE in core are divided into three groups: central, middle and peripheral, where central group of AGE, located in central part of core, is surrounded by EGE of middle group, and peripheral group is located on periphery of core in neutron reflector. EGE fuel rods from middle group are filled with TM based on isotopes with higher coefficient of reproduction of neutrons than EGE fuel rods of central and peripheral groups, 233U and 235U, respectively.
EFFECT: technical result is increased reactivity margin TRP, higher efficiency of nuclear power plants.
