Invention proposes an agent used for prophylaxis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases and representing 70% alcoholic tincture prepared of hawthorn dried flowers or, preferably, fruits. Extractant is prepared by mixing 95% ethyl alcohol and water purified with silicon taken in the definite ratio. In using the proposed medicinal formulation enhances supplying brain neurons with oxygen, enhances reduction of cholesterol blood level and eliminates any possible allergic symptoms in intake of hawthorn alcoholic tincture. EFFECT: enhanced and valuable medicinal properties of tincture.
