FIELD: gear pumps for delivery of high-viscous fluids. SUBSTANCE: proposed gear pump includes compression zone located between each pair of delivery gears and inner walls of chambers; said compression zones have varying thickness along longitudinal direction of gears. Geometry of compression zones determines mechanism of handling high-viscous fluid medium making it move by rotation of delivery gears through gradually decreasing gap and terminating in smooth cut-off at the beginning of sealing zone. Geometry of compression zone provides for maximum flow rate and compression of fluid medium delivered to area of gear teeth, thus fully filling the tooth space. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency in wide range of speed and viscosity. 5 cl, 13 dwg
