FIELD: ferrous metallurgy; tower-type industrial furnaces. SUBSTANCE: proposed continuous furnace includes framework, refractory brickwork divided vertically into tiers and reaction tubes embracing the rollers which are mounted in bearing members. Each tier is mounted on bearing bracket secured to framework. Lower row of each tier is made from blocks whose mechanical strength and heat resistance exceed those of master material of refractory brickwork. Each of said blocks located between bearing members of reaction tubes along length of tier has projection directed inside furnace. Amount of this projection ranges from 0.04 to 0.08 of thickness of brickwork. EFFECT: reduced specific consumption of refractory materials; enhanced operational reliability of furnace. 3 cl, 4 dwg
