FIELD: artillery ammunition, in particular, structural members of an igniter of the propellant charge of small-caliber artillery cartridges. SUBSTANCE: the flash igniter has a cylindrical shell, whose two chambers communicating with each other at least through one igniting device, linked with the shell by an anvil resting on the smaller cap installed in the lower chamber, including a striking-igniting charge placed in a cap, and an ignition charge of a variable mass closed with a sealing foil, fixed by the shell shoulder is positioned in the upper chamber. The novelty is in the fact that the ignition charge fills the shell upper chamber made telescopic in the form of a cup, whose bottom is matched with the anvil having an axial igniting hole, the shell is installed through a damping spacer on the bottom, in the matched band, the movable cup-shaped cover of the shell, provided with a central outlet window, is geometrically closed by flaring-out of the band end face. EFFECT: expanded field of application of the flash igniter, adaptable to streamlined production, simplified and reliable design for use in artillery small-caliber cartridges, provided stability of functioning of various powders of the propellant charge adapted with broken igniting compounds at an attainment of the preset aerodynamic characteristics of the ammunition. 3 dwg
