FIELD: optics. SUBSTANCE: proposed electrooptical converter includes at least one illuminator, clear backing in the form of one prism of total internal reflection as minimum, at least one line modulator, visualizer, recognition unit, control unit. Line modulator carries clear current conducting layer applied to backing covered by clear gelatinous layer and system of parallel belt electrodes of control and grounding applied to second backing, placed with clearance above gelatinous layer and connected electrically to control device. Illuminator comprises extended light source and lens. Repetition frequency of light source is equal to frequency of lines of image. Belt electrodes for each line pixel are electrically connected to corresponding periodic structure of teeth which present jointly with electrodes conducting combs entered one into another and insulated. Teeth of combs are arranged in parallel to light source and period λt of arrangement of pairs of teeth of control and grounding is chosen from conditions specified in formula of invention per each length of wave of light source and its divergence towards direction perpendicular to teeth of combs. There are also proposed gelatinous layer for electrooptical converter, process of preparation of gelatinous layer (variants) and composition for realization of process.
