FIELD: plastic metal working, namely production of electrically welded straight-seam tubes.
SUBSTANCE: tube shaping mill includes stands with open and closed double-roll passes having successively increasing in shaping direction angles for bending up strip blank and pairs of vertical rolls mounted between stands. Vertical rolls mounted between stands with open passes have inclination angles of generatrices of their working surfaces equal to angles for bending in next stand. Vertical rolls in front of stands with closed passes have inclination angles of generatrices of their working surfaces equal to half value of bending angle in next stand. Invention provides lowered load acting upon horizontal rolls of successive stands.
EFFECT: enhanced wear resistance of shaping rolls, lowered labor consumption for making tubes.
