FIELD: technological processes, metal working.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to metal forming, in particular, to equipment for moulding of pipes with triangular cross section from welded round billets. Mill comprises driving two-high mill stands with calibrated rollers and vertical rolls in interstand gaps. Upper rollers of all moulding mill stands are arranged with angular cut in barrel, which is symmetrical relative to middle line of caliber, and with rectilinear inclined generatrices with specified angle between them. Angle value depends on location of caliber along with moulding direction. Barrels of all lower rollers are arranged with rectilinear generatrix. Distance between mill stands depends on parametres of molded pipes and may amount to 5…6 values of maximum cut height at upper roller of the last mill stand.
EFFECT: production of high-quality pipes of triangular cross section with minimum production inputs due to simplicity of mill design and maintenance.
