FIELD: refractory materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to linings of metallurgical assemblies, for example coking plants, heating wells, steel-pouring and cast iron-transporting ladles. Invention provides mix comprising quartzite filler, ferrochrome slag, and liquid glass contains, as quartzite filler, waste from production of crystalline quartzites with structure characterized by grain size 0.005-0.05 mm and composed of 7-10% chalcedony, 1-3% accessory minerals, and quartz. Liquid glass with density 1.32 g/cm3 is prepared by direct dissolution, in sodium hydroxide, of waste originating from dry gas-treatment in production of high-percentage ferrosilicium, in particular silicon-containing dust with particle size (50-2500)·10-6 m and content of total carbon 0.3-2.9%, followed by hydrothermal treatment for 60-90 min. Dissolution is carried out at 90-95оС and solid substance-to-liquid weight ratio 1:(1.1-1.6). Percentages of components are the following: above-indicated waste 94-97%, ferrochrome slag 3-6%, and liquid glass 8-14% above 100%.
EFFECT: improved quality of refractories, utilized industrial slag, and widened resource of raw materials for manufacture of refractories at low cost.
