FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: washing machine has apparatus for balancing of rotary drum in squeezing and drying mode. Washing drum attachment device is made in the form of mechanism including unit for attachment of drum to drive bushing. Attachment unit is formed as guide adapted for transverse movement and gear pair. Rack for gear pair is rigidly attached to slide fixed on elliptical washing drum. Gear is rigidly put on shaft connected through worm transmission to additional electric engine fixed on one arm of rocker arm unit. Other arm is equipped with counterweight. Drive bushing is fixed on rotary supports and is connected through V-belt transmission to main electric engine.

EFFECT: reduced metal usage owing to eliminating heavy counterweights from construction and reduced dynamic loading exerted upon units.
